Summer Updates

Dear Friends,

You are very precious to us. Thank you for your support. In these last months, despite the exhaustion, God has given us grace to continue to cell-groups in Colleferro, Genzano and Frascati. We have also been looking to reinforce our evangelistic efforts in Frascati in the following ways:

  • THE CAGE (June 7) soccer event in the town square with our friends from neighboring churches in Monte Porzio and Rocca Priora. It was a a great joy to collaborate with our brothers and sisters in the area. We saw a good number of participants and passed out many tracts, including those of football players’ testimonies and one we particularly made for our church “3 Things” (3 cose) that speaks about LOVE, with our church information on it.
  • Prayer Walking. Robert is trying to go out every Saturday morning. We ask God to wake up our city.
  • Church Retreat (JULY 19)–coming up. We are eager to all be together in one place and are excited to welcome Pastor David Downs from CC Ferrara, Italy as speaker. We are even MORE excited to celebrate the baptisms of Stefano and Alessia! Please pray for them, that God strengthens them and blesses their devotion to Him.

Sundays we continue to meet in the local gym. We continue to ask the Lord for a space we can rent all year, not only on Sundays. A place we could settle in. This could take as little as 300 €/month, if you are interested in sponsoring this, we would love to hear from you at or

We cherish your prayers for our family. We are tired, but well. We have a lot of transitions and activity in the coming months and ask the Lord for strength.

Please take a visit to our new website and see the video we’ve recently made:

Thanks and God bless you!

Christ First this 2015

Hello Dear Friends,

We are very sorry to be so late in updating you. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. We hope that this 2015 finds you all growing, loving and serving.

We have started up our activities again in each homegroup. Frascati, Colleferro, Albano-Genzano, during the week. Besides some individual and couples discipling, we are seeing some consistency with a small group for Sunday School and are beginning monthly youth events. We hope to involve more people this year in worship leading as well.

This Easter, we will have a special service in the gym where we meet, and then potluck afterward. The following week, on April 16 we will be hosting friends from Seattle, Washington. Barnabas and Amy T are bringing their wonderful talents for a hip-hop evangelistic concert and worship night (April 16).

Our prayer this year as always is that the Holy Spirit really moves mightily in the Castelli Romani. We would like to see more workers in the harvest. If you know anyone interested in serving with us, contact We are already in contact with Calvary Chapel Bible School and Biola University for interns.

The family is doing well, but we always need prayer! Marco, Michi and Tania are in school and need encouragement, focus, finances to finish strong. We pray for our health, both spiritual and physical. We ask God to see to our every need.

Thank you for your love and support!

To have put on 2 concert outreaches this year. To have added to our small flock. To have grown in unity and understanding of the Word and love of God. Please continue to pray for God’s work here in the Castelli Romani.

We love you.

The Holidays!

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for your prayers, giving, and communication over the past few months. We are so thankful for you.

In November we celebrated THANKSGIVING as a church with a potluck and time of thanking the Lord. Obviously, we don’t recognize American history, but we like the tradition of focusing on being THANKFUL. Something we should practice more often. It was a blessed time with members of all 3 home-groups represented.

In December we have a CHRISTMAS CONCERT with guests LIFE ROAD (a multi-church choir based in Rome) and our own youth performing an evangelistic skit, DECEMBER 23, 20:00. Please pray for those we invite and those that perform, that God would be glorified and known.

We will also have a CHRISTMAS SERVICE/LUNCH on DECEMBER 27. We pray it will be a good time of fellowship.

In this season, we have many members with serious health issues: Simona, Thereasa, Giulia, Luciana…and others needing encouragement, jobs, wisdom, answers. Please pray with us for the spiritual maturity and unity of our young church. We are thankful for a full year, and for the growth that we have seen. We are thankful for the gym we rent, for the baptisms this summer, for the guests that have shared their testimonies, for the members that have learned to preach the Word of God…we trust next year will be even greater.

Our FAMILY is doing well. We are thankful for Chantal’s work and stabilized health. Pray for Robert’s high-blood pressure. Pray for Tania, Marco and Michelangelo in work, study and spiritual growth.

We send you our love and wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS as you celebrate the birth of our Lord.

Building Muscle

Greetings Everyone!

Once again we would like to thank you for your prayers and support and encouragement.

God has provided the use of the city gym for ONE YEAR at 100€/month. We are so thankful. We continue to pray for a more permanent place but are encouraged to have moved out of the house and are getting more organized with service opportunities for our members. We had a great mini-retreat in August with those who didn’t go out of town for the holidays, and we are happy to see people “building muscle” in the spiritual sense!

Last week it was our honor to baptize SARA (17, Italian) and JULIENNE (mother of 3, Togolese) in our service at sea. We praise God for their commitments to follow Him and pray that He protects their faith and brings their families to the same decisions.

We are thinking and praying about what to do at Christmas. We also need more people raised up to help with things in the church such as Sunday School, potlucks, cleaning the gym, accounting, worship…we want to see more people involved. We ask for wisdom in the leading of the 3 midweek studies in Frascati, Genzano and Colleferro.

We have a lot of work to do to register our non-profit with the city and finish our accounts for the last year. Please pray for us. We want to be more organized and efficient to be more effective in our evangelism.

We are healthy and busy. Please continue to pray for the kids in university and work, for our love for Jesus and each other.

Thanks you and God bless you!

Red Rain Concert July 24-25

This is a quick email to ask for prayer for our summer outreach.

We are collaborating with another local church plant and the fantastic, servant-hearted New Zealand rockers “Red Rain” to put on 2 concerts next week. We are excited to share the gospel and music that glorifies Jesus from the piazzas!

Please pray for:

-Logistics (driving, housing, food etc.)
-People…that they come out to see!!!
-The band (God sustains and uses them)
-Our staff (that we work in unity)
-The city (that we get all our permits, have good testimonty, etc.)

*We also want to thank everyone for praying for our church retreat. It went very well and we were blessed!

*Another praise is that we have the city gym on Sundays for a new meeting place this summer! Pray that God continues to direct us to a more permanent place.

Thank you so much!

spring updates…summer plans

Ciao a tutti!

We hope that you passed a joyous Easter period, and are walking strong with our Risen Savior!

At Easter we held our service in a local Osteria, where we watched the film ‘Maddelena’ (Gospel story) and ate together. We also held a similar service the week before with our Colleferro group, and the response was very positive. Please pray for RICCARDO (27 yrs) who came to the Easter service and cried…seemed very receptive, and we would like to see him again with us! We thank God for the new visitors we are seeing and for the little glimpses of spiritual growth we are seeing among members! May God continue to increase our knowledge, love and faith in Him! We want to see even more fruit, more friends brought into church, more reconciliation, more participation among members. We also had the opportunity in May to attend the All-Italy Calvary Chapel Retreat with pastor Sandy Adams and returned blessed and full. It is special for our church members to see that we are part of something bigger that God is doing across the country!

We are preparing now for an all-day church retreat we will have here in Frascati at a farm. Pastor Craig Quam will guest-speak from Calvary Chapel Montebelluna in the north of Italy. We are so blessed to have him, and ask the Lord to strengthen and prepare him for this time. We want to see a good showing from all 3 home-groups, and even use this tool as evangelism! May people bring friends! We will be focusing on the Holy Spirit from Acts 1. We want to see a vibrancy of faith among our members. Pray for all of the details in organization–there will be sessions for adults, as well as split sessions for kids, youth, men and women. It is a lot for our little staff to prepare, but we hope this time that we set apart brings great growth and edification to our church body.

We are also busy preparing for our summer outreach with New Zealand Christian rock band, Red Rain, 24 July. Please pray with us for a good location. It has been very difficult to find something as the town is going through elections right now and the town hall has not been able to help us with the public spaces. We would like to do something as big and public as possible. These musicians have such hearts for the Lord! Pray for God’s will and direction in all details. He knows best. If you would like to help us raise the 500 EURO needed to host these musicians, please donate as soon as possible at Thank you!

Thank you so much for your prayers, support, and love for our family and church. Continue to pray for physical health, spiritual health and growth, unity, good work and studies for all of us! We appreciate it so much.

God bless you all,

spring 2014

Time really flies by! Thank you for laboring with us in prayer, finances, and encouragement.

We would like to update you on a few things.

  • In our home-groups we are continuing our systematic theology study called “New Creation.” This month we have asked (on rotation) a different person to give a short teaching each week. It has been really fun and edifying and encouraging to see church members study the Word and share it–many for the first time (in all 3 groups)! We pray more growth comes from this.
  • March also started off a really wonderful meeting for the single girls/women in our church on Biblical Sexuality. We know it only scratched the surface, and look forward to more events like this, with the Lord’s help.
  • Sundays we are studying 1st Peter and it has been very uplifting for our church! Despite many personal difficulties among members we see a maturity and growth emerging and we praise God for this. Two girls are being raised up to help teach Sunday school which is an answer to prayer!

  • Thank you for the prayers and opportunity to go to the Pastor’s Conference in Germany. I was really very blessed.
  • We had been worried about Chantal’s health, but we are seeing better results now by the grace of God.
  • Please continue to pray for the kids–study and work…that they would remain strong in their faith with their non-Christian friends. May the be lights!
  • We thank God for Allison and her ministry in the church and school (please pray for her as well!).

  • We are asking God to work in supernatural ways for us to be able to rent, furnish or remodel a building as our church has outgrown the house and we want to be a stable presence in the community. If you would like to give toward this, see link above in “To Give €£$”.
  • We have an all-Calvary Chapel Italy conference coming up in May.
  • We are organizing a CCFrascati day retreat on 29 June. Praise God for providing a location!
  • We would like to pray for help, guidance and wisdom in the organizing of our non-profit association (under which the church has a legal status).
  • We are praying for funds (500€) and location (preferably outdoor) for our summer outreach with Red Rain, a New Zealand rock band. We are honored to have them share their love for Jesus.

Thank you and God bless you richly with His unfailing love.

Pastor Robert

a new year! a look at 2014.

First of all, we would like to send a big thank you to all of you who have prayed for us this past year. You have blessed us beyond words! We eagerly look forward to all God will do this year.

We would like to ask continued prayer for the following things:

  • Healing of Giulia, Thereasa, Paula and Laura–all serious health conditions
  • Spiritual birth/growth of Domenico, Francesco, Giuseppe, Alessandro
  • Spiritual maturity, growth, unity of all church members
  • Economic help–jobs for Jenny, Maurizio, Tania, Monica, Concetta
  • Thanksgiving for Barbara (new member)
  • More servants–help in preaching and Sunday school and all areas

Specifically, we have some events coming up that we would like special prayer in organizing:

  • February: Young girls event on Biblical sexuality
  • March: Showing of the documentary on sex-slavary “Nefarious” in collaboration with Roman ministry Schiavitù Mai Più (No more slavery)
  • April: Easter service and evangelism
  • May: All-Italy Calvary Chapel conference
  • June: Calvary Chapel Frascati church retreat

We have begun all of our midweek studies in Frascati (Tuesday), Colleferro (Thursday) and Albano (Friday) in the new year. We are encouraged to see new people each month, and that people are excited to bring their friends. Praise God for the way He is moving in these community groups.

WE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR A MEETING LOCATION. THIS IS A PRIORITY FOR THE NEW YEAR. PRAY WITH US THAT WE CAN HAVE A MEETING PLACE BY EASTER. The financial responsibility of rent has been difficult in the past, but we feel ready to approach this step. We are outgrowing this house-church phase in number and understanding of responsibility. It’s a problem. But a good problem!

Our family is doing well. Prayers for us–physical and spiritual strength, a new car, wisdom, help in studies for the boys, job for Tania–all of this will be much appreciated!

Thank you for your love and support.

Natale 2013

Thank you for continuing to labour with us in prayer, remembering that our battle is not against flesh and blood! And here at Christmas we are reminded of when God in His spirit was made flesh to sympathize with us. We are humbled and strengthened by this great gift and comfort. He is the reason!

Chantal and I request more prayer for our health. This has been a difficult season for us. My blood pressure continues to rise and I ask prayer for its stabilization. We are also heavy-spirited with losses and our family (Chantal’s cousin, my father) and different struggles of our children this year. Isaiah 43:1-4 encourages us and way pray to be able to say “Eben-ezer”–God is our rock of help, and He remains faithful.

Needless to say, here at the end of 2013, facing a new year, we have ever more need of your prayers.

Robert-wisdom, guidance in finding a meeting place for the church, strength and health, spiritual growth, and financial support to be able to work full-time with the church.

Chantal- spiritual growth, health, guidance in decisions and creative work, a part-time job.

Tania, Marco, Michi- spiritual growth and sanctification, success in university studies, jobs, good testimonies to friends, growth as members of the church body.

Allison- spiritual growth, peace at work and in decisions/future, good testimony to co-workers.

We praise God for numerical and spiritual growth in ALL of our home-studies: Albano-Genzano, Colleferro, Frascati. This is His wonderful, abounding grace! We ask for more. These are primary centers of knowledge and growth but also evangelism. We ask God to continue to move in mighty ways in the new year! We pray for the baptism of the Spirit and radical communal living in brotherly love, purity and joy.

We pray for a location to meet. We have outgrown the house!

Please pray for the miraculous healing of Giulia (14) and Paola, Concetta, and others sick in our church.

Please pray for these upcoming events that God works by His Spirit to do beyond what we could imagine for His glory in this area!

1) Showing of film ‘The Nativity Story’ at city hall as part of the Frascati’s Christmas events! We will have a short mime and message as well, so pray that God opens hearts and brings people. 20 December, 19:00.

2) Christmas service, 22 December. We are looking to rent a room(s) for our Christmas service. Please pray we find one and at reasonable cost. If you would like to give toward this fund, see link:

3) Christmas, all-church lunch, 27 December. Pray for sweet fellowship!

God bless you all this Christmas as you contemplate the precious birth of Christ!
